We are passionate about music and scottish tradition and therefor we were lucky to host a couple of concerts last months.
We were delighted to present the very own Dougie MacLean, Scotlands finest Singer-Songwriter who is internationally renowned for his song 'Caledonia', music for 'Last Mohicans' and inspired performances...including his ending of the Clising Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow which was viewed by over a billion people worldwide! As part of this year´s Aberdour Festival we hosted the opening night of the festival on the 31st July with Break The Butterfly and Kenny Martin & Rab Thomson as support acts.
“Dougie MacLean is Scotland's pre-eminent singer-songwriter and a national musical treasure” (SingOut USA) who has developed a unique blend of lyrical, 'roots based' songwriting and instrumental composition. He has built an international reputation as songwriter, composer and extraordinary performer which has led to concerts and festivals all over the world including New York's Carnegie Hall, Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and London’s Festival Theatre. His ending of the Closing Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (with Kylie Minogue and Lulu) was viewed by over a billion people worldwide!!
MacLean’s songs have been covered by hosts of artists, including Paolo Nutini, Amy MacDonald, Ronan Keating, Mary Black, Frankie Miller and Kathy Mattea. !
His song “Caledonia” has become one of Scotland's most popular contemporary songs and his music has been used in Hollywood films (eg Last of the Mohicans), TV Drama (eg BBC's A Mug's Game) and he’s been the subject of three BBC TV music documentaries. Dougie has received numerous gold discs for album sales, two prestigious Tartan Clef Awards, a place in the Scottish Music Hall of Fame, a Lifetime Achievement Award from BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and an OBE in the New Year Honours list!!
After the concert we joined his crew for a chat and we were delighted to find out that he lived in Germany for a few years and sung his song Caledonia for the first time in Berlin, present-day Gemany´s capital.
We want to thank Dougie and his crew & Aberdour Festival for a wonderful night.

We also completed a very successful 11 days "Germany Tour" with and for the Scottish FolkRock band "Break The Butterfly" . We got hired to book gigs and promote the band in and around Germany and we have also been responsible for schedule-, accommodation- and stage management. In this context we promoted Scotland as a destination for leisure & business purposes and we got some fantastic feedback and some decent press coverage done. We toured in Bonn, Königswinter, Cologne, Bad Kreuznach and Hamburg. It was a great experience! Please find following the press articles and some impressions further below.
